 Goal:
The HSN web site had two goals. First, provide information about
homeschooling and the Homeschoolers Support Network to anyone who was
interested. Second, to create a "virtual office" for the HSN staff
and members to access most of the information available from HSN online
instead of from a centralized office.
Result:
HSN has received several emails about how nice the site looks and that it
provides more information about homeschooling than most other homeschool
sites people have found. In addition, the virtual office has significantly
reduced the amount of information that needs to be sent out from the central
office. Since HSN has members from a wide geographical area, it also allows
staff to access and update member information from the Internet 24/7 from
their home. The site provides up to date information about action alerts, a
monthly calendar, a member directory and monthly newsletters. It also allows
members to print their ID card and update their membership information.
Members can also submit items to be included in the newsletter and renew
their membership. All of this information is maintained from a user-friendly
browser interface by HSN staff from a secure area requiring login access.

for us. This frees up our office and makes the job much more accessible to
the person doing the work.
We love it. Thanks for making our lives easier. I'm sure this will
streamline much of what we do, freeing us up to be more creative and work on
things that make a real difference.
